Eight-year-old Katrina is on her way to California’s famous gold rush in hope of striking it rich! Along with her older brother Kadyn and her Dad, she travels in a wagon and meets some new, exciting friends! On her adventure she faces some difficult situations, and some learning experiences. But when she gets to California, she discovers that gold isn’t that easy to find as she thought it would be. Even with the help of her family members and new friends, gold and food is scarce. Will Katrina be able to strike it rich? Or will she have to leave without a dime in her pocket?
